2024 Policies

    • All players and patrons must check-in with the front desk.

    • Tobacco use and alcohol are prohibited in the tennis center. FWTEC is a drug-free zone.

    • Food & beverages (except water) are not allowed on the courts.

    • No glass on the tennis courts.

    • Only tennis shoes (non-marking shoes) are allowed on the courts.

    • Shirts must be worn at all times.

    • Spectator seating on end-court bleachers and lobby area only.

    • Pets are not allowed.

    • Private tennis instruction can ONLY be taught by FWTEC certified Tennis Professional.

    • We accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.

    • Court Time:

      • Patrons can call 7 days in advance to book court time, or go online 6 days in advance.

      • Non-patrons can reserve court time 24 hours in advance. Payment is required at the time the reservation is made.

    • Drills:

      • Patrons can go online, use our app, or call 7 days in advance starting at 6:00am to register for drills.

      • Non-patrons can go online, use our app, or call 2 days in advance starting at 6:00am to register for drills.

    • 24-hour notice is required in the event of a cancellation or full court/drill fee will apply.

    • Patron memberships are set to auto-renew annually. To cancel an upcoming auto-renewal, please call the front desk. If your membership has recently auto-renewed and you would like it cancelled, please contact Ryan Berkas, 612-252-8367, ext. 106.

    • Reservations are first come, first served.

    • Language & Behavior: FWTEC does not tolerate foul, abusive or derogatory language, racquet throwing, ball abuse, or other actions deemed to create an unsafe environment.

    • Court Time Etiquette

      • Arrive on time and wait in the lobby until your scheduled court time.

      • Do not walk on court before your time has started, unless the prior court time participants are packing up and finishing. For safety reasons, do not walk across courts.

      • End your court times/drills a couple of minutes early so you are packed up and walking off the court at the end of your assigned court time. We all want to finish that last game/point, but please be respectful of those who are following you onto the court. Besides, that last point is never a good one because everyone on the court feels pressured and rushed because everyone is watching.

      • Clean up the used tennis balls, cans and other garbage you may have. Since we have back-to-back court times scheduled from sunup to sundown, there is not time to clean the courts until the last point is played.

    • Lost or Stolen Items: Leave the facility with only items that are yours. FWTEC is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please ask the front desk, if you would like to use a locker key.

    • Fitness Room: The fitness room may be used while waiting for a participant in a class or 1 hour before or after a court reservation. Please be courteous of others waiting to use the equipment and limit your time.

    • Exhibiting poor behavior or behavior that is deemed not consistent with organization policies and values will result in being asked to leave the premises by management with possible additional penalties up to suspension from future play and revocation of patron membership.

  • When you enter a Fred Wells Tennis & Education Center (“FWTEC”) event or program, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur.

By entering the event premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, webcasts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by FWTEC and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar FWTEC events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of FWTEC. You release FWTEC, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings.

By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by FWTEC or the person or entity designated to do so by FWTEC.

You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release. If you wish to opt-out of this policy, please fill out and return the Media Images Opt-Out Release Form. If you have questions or concerns, please direct them to:
